The situation in Georgia is still not settled, with Democrats in desperation mode trying to get more provisional votes over the goal line on Saturday, the final day Democrats claim that provisional ballots are being accepted in some locations.

The Stacey Abrams campaign has set up an entire phone-banking and email operation to Find votes, as we discuss below.

The blatant push by Democrats to extend voting after Election Day in certain counties is in full swing, with the liberal mainstream media taking the side of the Democrat cause and the American people scrambling to preserve our Republic in the face of radical left-wing attacks on our election integrity.

The Stacey Abrams campaign is actively phone-banking to find provisional ballots, and voters are also receiving text messages asking them if they filed provisional ballots.


Big League Politics has obtained one of the text messages to voters: “URGENT: GA gov vote is TOO close to call. Today is the last day provisional ballots can still be counted. Did you submit a PROVISIONAL ballot at polls on Tues?”

Here is an email that her campaign is sending out:

“Today is our LAST DAY to find and count every single provisional ballot.

So if you cast a provisional ballot on Tuesday, we need you to call our Voter Protection Hotline at 1-888-730-5816 immediately. Our team can tell you if your ballot was counted, and if it was not, we can help you with next steps.

And please, help us spread the word to every Georgian you know. Forward this email to your friends, post on Facebook, call your relatives. Everyone needs to know this information.

Armed With Assault Rifles, Black Panthers March For Stacey Abrams

I RECALL SOMETHING ABOUT A KNIFE FIGHT AND WE BRING ...
Members of the Black Panther Party marched through the city of Atlanta, strapped with assault rifles and brandishing Stacey Abrams campaign signs.

In a video posted on the group’s Facebook page on Saturday, members of the Black Panther Party are seen marching through the West End neighborhood of Atlanta in support of Stacey Abrams gubernatorial campaign. As they marched, the Black Panthers carried assault rifles and continually shouted slogans such as “black power” and “power to the people.”

Abrams, a former Democratic state representative, is running in a tight election against Republican Brian Kemp, Georgia’s current Secretary of State. The Real Clear Politics average of recent polls shows Kemp up by 1.1 percentage points, well within the margin of error.

The video shows the panthers marching for nearly 30 minutes through the city of Atlanta until they enter a local radio station.

When reached for comment by The Daily Caller News Foundation, the Abrams campaign forwarded a statement from spokeswoman Abigail Collazo. Her statement did not specifically address the Panthers’ march, but instead attacked Kemp.

“Brian Kemp is the only candidate in this race who has posed for pictures with supporters wearing racist, hate-filled t-shirts and refused to denounce them, while Abrams continues to condemn any racist, anti-Semitic, or otherwise discriminatory words and actions,” Collazo said.

“Unlike Kemp, Abrams is a leader committed to running an inclusive campaign focused on bringing all Georgians together to find bold solutions on critical issues like health care, education, and the economy,” she continued. At one point during the march, someone driving a vehicle stopped momentarily to speak to the Panthers.

One of the members can be heard saying afterward: “You need to march in your neighborhood. When we was [sic] in West Virginia, 99 percent crackers, stone cold crackers.”

Kemp’s campaign called on Abrams to immediately denounce the Black Panthers.

“It’s no surprise that militant Black Panthers are armed and patrolling the streets of Georgia for Stacey Abrams. The Black Panthers are a radical hate group with a racist and anti-semitic agenda. They are dangerous and encourage violence against our men and women in uniform,” Kemp spokesman Ryan Mahoney said in a statement to TheDCNF.

“Stacey Abrams should immediately denounce the Black Panthers and their hateful record of racism,” he continued. “She should stand against and condemn their attempts to intimidate hardworking Georgia voters just days before the election.”

The close race has brought star power from both sides of the aisle. Vice President Mike Pence campaigned for Kemp on Thursday — the same day Oprah Winfrey knocked on doors on behalf of Abrams.

The Panthers did not respond to a request for comment by TheDCNF.

UN agency assists Central American caravan migrants, voices concern for receiving countries

In the Siglo XXI Migratory Station of Tapachula, Mexico, IOM and the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs are supplying food and basic hygiene kits to over 1,500 migrants seeking asylum in the country.

IOM said on Friday that after walking some 850 kilometres from Honduras, exhaustion and the challenges ahead have caused many to opt for voluntary return, offered by Mexican authorities and Honduran consular officials.

“IOM maintains its position that the human rights and basic needs of all migrants must be respected, regardless of their migratory status,” said Christopher Gascon, UN Migration’s Chief of Mission in Mexico.

In coordination with UN refugee agency UNHCR, he said "we will continue to monitor the situation of the caravan counting on field staff, the Mexican Office of Assistance for Migrants and Refugees, and partner NGOs, providing information regarding alternatives for regular and safe migration, as well as options for voluntary returns,” he added.

Counting on its Mesoamerica Program – funded by the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration – IOM is now also able to provide voluntary return assistance to migrants.

“The caravan phenomenon in Central America is another expression of a migration process that the region has been facing for quite some time,” Marcelo Pisani, IOM Regional Director for Central America, North America and the Caribbean explained, saying the “mixed migration flow” was driven by economic factors, family reunification, violence and the search for international protection.

“Nevertheless,” he added, “we are concerned about the stress and demands that caravans place on the humanitarian community and the asylum systems of receiving countries, which ultimately have limited resources to face this challenge or to properly care for and protect migrants.”

According to local authorities, on Monday the Mexican government admitted a second caravan of approximately 1,800 Central Americans who initially started the regularization process, but later opted to continue the trek north without seeking asylum; a third caravan of around 500 Salvadorians crossed in on Tuesday, where most requested asylum; and a fourth group of some 1,700 individuals spent Thursday night in the Guatemalan town of Tecún Umán, on the border with Mexico.

“The effective protection of human rights for all is based on the respect of processes conveyed in international treaties and national laws, which must be the frame of reference for any action that may be implemented in this situation,” Mr. Pisani concluded.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, breaks ribs in fall 

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell in her office and fractured three ribs. The 85-year-old liberal justice was admitted to a hospital Thursday.

Ginsburg’s health has been a matter of intense speculation in recent years. The court’s oldest member, Ginsburg has survived multiple bouts with cancer, and in 2014 underwent a procedure to have a stent placed in her right coronary artery.

The fall happened Wednesday evening.

“She went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight, went to George Washington University Hospital early this morning,” the court said in a statement Thursday. “Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment.”

It is not the first time that Ginsburg has fractured her ribs while on the court. In June 2012, Ginsburg fractured two ribs in a fall and did not disclose the injury to the public until months later. The court said at the time that despite the fracture, Ginsburg “did not skip a beat.”

The Brooklyn-native, one of four liberal justices on the nine-member court, has said she plans to serve on the bench until she is 90, and has hired law clerks through 2020.

Her approach to the law has been described as cautious, though she has been influential in shaping jurisprudence in cases involving gender discrimination, women’s reproductive health and international law.

She was the principal author of a landmark brief that led Supreme Court in 1971 to apply the the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment to women.

Ginsburg, the second of four women to serve on the high court, was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1993. Before joining the court, she worked as the director of the ACLU’s Women’s Rights Project.

News of Ginsburg’s fall comes on the same morning as the formal investiture of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s second nominee to the high court.

The court said that more information would be provided as it became available.

Each Illegal Immigrant Costs $70K, According To Center For Immigration Studies Report

According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the cost of illegal immigration is rising as the border surge reaches its highest level since 2011.

In a report published Wednesday, the organization said the cost to taxpayers is around $70,000 per illegal immigrant, which is about seven times more than the cost of deportation.

The CIS also reported the taxes paid by illegal immigrants are not enough to offset the cost of the services they consume, in turn, leaving a net cost of $70 billion dollars per year.

The organization also said immigration as a whole in 2016 was equal to the highest numbers on record, with over 1.7 million people coming to the U.S. through legal and illegal means.

This report comes as President Trump continues to double-down on his stance on immigration amid the influx of non-citizens charging toward the border in a so-called migrant caravan.

In a series of tweets Wednesday, the president told the thousands of Central American migrants making their way to the southern border to go home.

He pointed out that many in the caravan are violently assaulting Mexican authorities as they attempt, with many succeeding, to cross into Mexico from Guatemala.

President Trump called the U.S. border “sacred” and assured members of the caravan will not be let into the country.

Schiff: House Intel will ramp up probe of Trump's Russia ties if Dems take the House

Schiff: We'll get answers Republicans didn't
Washington (CNN) — If Democrats take back the House, the Intelligence Committee will investigate questions involving Russian money laundering and President Donald Trump's businesses, Rep. Adam Schiff of California said on Tuesday.

Schiff, the top Democrat on the intelligence panel, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room" that Russian money laundering is one area he wants to probe tied to Russia's 2016 election interference. Schiff said it's one issue where he didn't know whether special counsel Robert Mueller had been given authority to look into the matter.

"The question, though, that I don't know whether Mueller has been able to answer -- because I don't know whether he's been given the license to look into it -- is were the Russians laundering money through the Trump Organization?" he said.

"And that will be a very high priority to get an answer to. For the reason that if they were doing this, it's not only a crime, but it's something provable," Schiff continued, noting something of that nature is an issue the Russians "could hold over the head" of the President and "that might be influencing US policy in a way that is against our national interest."

Schiff's comments are another sign of the different ways House Democrats intend to investigate Trump if they are in the majority next year.

Schiff said that although "Republicans walked away from the investigation, the Democratic minority has continued" its probe.

"And that work won't stop when we take the majority," Schiff told Blitzer, just two weeks ahead of the midterm elections.

"But we will be able to get answers the Republicans were unwilling to pursue. Records that the Republicans wouldn't ask for," he said.

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee ended their Russia investigation in March, concluding they had found no evidence of collusion between Trump's team and Russia.

But Democrats accused Republicans of failing to conduct a thorough investigation, and Schiff has signaled he would reopen the probe if Democrats controlled the committee. Democrats on the committee have continued to interview a handful of witnesses without Republicans over the past six months.

Schiff on Tuesday specifically pointed to calls involving Trump's son to set up the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Russians that took place during the 2016 campaign.

"We know that there were calls back and forth between the President's son in the setup of the Trump Tower meeting, and sandwiched between these calls was a call from a blocked number. And we know the President used a blocked number so we asked for a subpoena of the phone records. But the Republicans said, 'No, we don't want to know if the President was in the loop and approved that meeting in Trump Tower,' " Schiff said, adding that Democrats would handle things "very differently."

Previously, in response to the end of the investigation, Schiff issued a "status report" that detailed documents he would request, witnesses he would call and subpoenas he would issue if Democrats had control of the probe. That included an examination of Russian money laundering tied to former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his onetime deputy Rick Gates, who both have pleaded guilty as part of Mueller's investigation.

"The Committee's investigation must seek to determine whether Mr. Manafort and Mr. Gates's money-laundering activities, tied to pro-Russian interests, constituted a point of leverage that Russia sought to benefit from or exploit to gain access to the Trump campaign, particularly given that Mr. Manafort reportedly offered private briefings about the Trump campaign to these contacts," the House Intelligence Committee's Democrats wrote.

In their report, House Intelligence Republicans argued those crimes had occurred before Manafort and Gates joined the Trump campaign.

"All of the financial crimes took place prior to Manafort serving as Trump campaign manager, and nothing in the indictment relates to any potential collusion, conspiracy, or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian government," the Republicans wrote of Manafort and Gates' charges.
