The Republic of Texas was a sovereign state in North America that existed from March 2, 1836, to February 19, 1846, although Mexico considered it a rebellious province during its entire existence. It was bordered by Mexico to the west and southwest, the Gulf of Mexico to the southeast, the two U.S.

But Texas seceding has been a rallying cry among residents going back years. Texas is a strong, red state.
Those of us who live here know how deeply devoted they were to get Trump re-elected. The state not only went for Trump, but Biden won fewer counties than any Democrat in recent history (fewer than Hillary!)
If there was ever a time Texans would consider leaving the Union, it would be right now.
Especially after everything that transpired after the 2020 election, there might be more than a few residents who think their voices were disregarded.
The bill put forward by Kyle Biedermann would give Texans the chance to decide if seceding is the right choice.
It’s not as far-fetched as you think. Texas has its own power grid. It is one of the largest economies in the world, all on its own.
And leaving Biden’s dictatorial regime would allow Texas to ramp up oil and other fossil fuel resources, free from leftist control.
These are all very real issues that Texan voters would want to debate and discuss. We can’t say for sure if Texas, or any state, will leave under Biden’s rule. But, these days, nothing would surprise us.

China Makes Shocking Move By Sending Group of Nuclear Capable Bombers into Taiwan’s Airspace ... what will Beijing Biden do?
Joe Biden has only been in office for less than a week, and already China has made a highly aggressive and shocking military move in the South China sea.
On Saturday it deployed 13 warplanes, including eight giant, nuclear capable bombers to penetrate Taiwan’s airspace.
Such an aggressive incident is unusual, and may signal that the China is far closer to launching a war to invade Taiwan than many have previous though.

China sent eight nuclear-capable bombers, four fighter jets and an anti-submarine patrol aircraft into Taiwan’s southwestern air defense zone near the Pratas Islands, Reuters reported.
While Beijing has been sending almost daily flights over the waters in the southern part of Taiwan and nearby islands, it’s usually just one or two reconnaissance aircraft…
The increased antagonism came just three days after President Biden was sworn in and may be an early test of the new president.
Biden’s nominee for Secretary of State Tony Blinken said Tuesday that President Trump was right to take a tougher approach on China, and said the U.S. will continue to support Taiwan, which China considers a rogue province. “There’s been a strong and long bipartisan commitment to Taiwan,” Blinken said, adding, “the commitment to Taiwan is something that we hold to very strongly.”
E-commerce giant Amazon is reportedly seeking to postpone a unionization vote at a warehouse in Alabama and is fighting back against federal labor authorities’ decision to allow mail-in voting. Amazon claims it has created a “safe, confidential and convenient proposal for associates to vote on-site, which is in the best interest of all parties—associate convenience, vote fidelity and timeliness of vote count.”
The Wall Street Journalreports that the e-commerce giant Amazon is aiming to postpone a unionization vote at one of its warehouses in Alabama. The company is also reportedly requesting that federal labor authorities reconsider a decision to allow mail-in voting due to the pandemic.
On Thursday, Amazon filed an appeal to a decision by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which is allowing employees to vote by mail due to coronavirus risks instead of holding in-person elections. The ballots are set to be mail to around 6,000 workers associated with Amazon’s facility in Bessemer, Alabama, on February 8.
In the petition, Amazon said the NLRB’s decision was flawed as it had not adequately defined an outbreak, along with a number of other objections. Workers at Amazon’s facility are seeking representation from the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union.
If a majority of ballots vote in favor of unionization, it would be the first time that hourly Amazon workers have formed or joined a union in the United States.
Amazon declined to comment on the appeal but stated that it believes the best approach to an election would be having it conducted in person, stating that it “provided the NLRB with a safe, confidential and convenient proposal for associates to vote on-site, which is in the best interest of all parties—associate convenience, vote fidelity and timeliness of vote count.”

Memos declassified by President Trump Tuesday night before his departure from office unearth new information regarding Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Newly released memos, obtained by Just the News, show “FBI agents opened an investigation in late 2014 into a foreign power’s effort to curry influence with Hillary Clinton’s prospective presidential campaign through donations.”
However, agents were thwarted by their own bureau. “The bureau’s leadership slow-walked a surveillance warrant and instead arranged for the candidate to get a defensive briefing” reported Just the News. Memos show “FBI agents became so frustrated that they were being stonewalled from securing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant to investigate the foreign money plot that they even escalated to then-FBI Director James Comey.”
On April 14, 2015, an FBI employee expressed concern that he may be “overstepping” his chain of command by writing Comey an email expressing their concerns. “The FISA application has remained in limbo for the last four months, even though subsequent investigative activity by [redacted] provided additional probable cause for the FISA application” the email stated.
The email went on to say that the FBI field office leading the probe was “still uncertain as to why the application has not been sent to DOJ for final approval although several reasons have been put forth by CD [criminal division], most recently that the decision to put the application on hold originated ‘on the seventh floor.”
The seventh floor of the FBI headquarters refers to the location of offices for the FBI director and his team. Comey responded, “Don’t know anything about this but will get smarter.” Memos did not offer any evidence that a FISA warrant was ever approved. “Instead, they show that FBI leadership ultimately decided to give Clinton’s team a defensive briefing in October 2015 as her presidential campaigngeared up.”
Nothing more was done than simply telling the Clinton lawyers that “the campaign should increase its vigilance of contributions related to any of the matters discussed above” and that “the FBI was providing them with this briefing for awareness and so Ms. Clinton could take appropriate action to protect herself.”
Biden 2020 Run Backed By $145 Million In 'Dark Money'
President Biden's campaign received a record-breaking amount of anonymous donations to outside groups backing him, which means the public "will never have a full accounting of who helped him win the White House," according to Bloomberg. In addition to the BIDEN FAMILY DARK MONEY ...
In total, $145 million in so-called dark money donations, "a type of fundraising Democrats have decried for years," backed the Biden campaign - and combined with his $1.5 billion record-breaking haul. Of note, Biden's campaign called for banning certain types of nonprofits from spending money to influence elections, and that any organization spending over $10,000 to benefit a candidate register with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and disclose its donors.
They didn't specifically call on their own supporters to do so, however.
That amount of dark money dwarfs the $28.4 million spent on behalf of his rival, former President Donald Trump. And it tops the previous record of $113 million in anonymous donations backing Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in 2012.
Democrats have said they want to ban dark money as uniquely corrupting, since it allows supporters to quietly back a candidate without scrutiny. Yet in their effort to defeat Trump in 2020, they embraced it. -Bloomberg
One such dark money recipient, Priorities USA Action Fund designated by Biden as his preferred vehicle for outside spending, backed Biden with $26 million originally (and anonymously) donated to its nonprofit arm, Priorities USA.
Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil deflected when asked about the funds, saying in a statement "We weren’t going to unilaterally disarm against Trump and the right- wing forces that enabled him."
Another entity funneling dark money to benefit Biden was the Future Forward PAC, which spent $104 million backing Biden. While they received tens of millions from known sources, such as $46.9 million from Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, $3 million from Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson, and $2.6 million from Alphabet's Eric Schmidt - they received $61 million from Future Forward USA Action - none of which requires disclosureof sources.
The Sixteen Thirty Fund, a nonprofit that sponsors progressive advocacy, donated a total of $55 million in the 2020 election cycle to Democratic super-PACs, including Priorities USA Action Fund and Future Forward PAC, FEC records show. That total was much more than the $3 million it gave in 2018.
Amy Kurtz, executive director of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, said the surge of money to the group, which doesn’t disclose the names of its donors, included people who previously gave to Republicans or had not been engaged in politics.

According to former FEC general counsel Larry Noble, Biden benefited from a campaign finance law loophole - though Noble also noted that dark money is hardly the largest source of cash contributed to campaigns when wealthy donors can simply write eight-figure checks to super-PACs (which have heightened disclosure requirements). Meanwhile, joint fundraising committees can bring in lots of donations as high as $830,500.
That said, donors who wish to remain anonymous can give to political nonprofits, such as Defending Democracy Together - which spent $15.6 million in support of Biden - none of which has to be reported to the FEC. Moreover, donors can give money to nonprofits which then give money to super-PACs, such as in the case of Priorities USA.
Big donors -- individuals or corporations -- who contributed anonymously will have the same access to decision makers as those whose names were disclosed, but without public awareness of who they are or what influence they might wield.
“The whole point of dark money is to avoid public disclosure while getting private credit,” said Meredith McGehee, executive director of Issue One, which advocates for reducing the influence of money on politics. “It’s only dark money to the public.” -Bloomberg
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Democrats benefited from $326 million in dark money this election cycle - over twice the $148 million that supported Republicans. In some states, Democrats heavily relied on dark money to purchase attack ads against Trump in battleground states such as Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Not all Democrats are happy with the flood of dark money in the 2020 election cycle.
"Dark money is toxic to democracy -- period," said Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. "The fact that progressive groups have learned to fight back using similar tactics is no excuse for continuing the plague of dark money in America."

Several unions that eagerly endorsed President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election are now learning the hard way what it means to support Democrat policies.
During his first day in office, the newly-inaugurated president revoked the construction permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline, thus destroying thousands of jobs.
And not just any jobs — but union jobs.
TC Energy Corp., the Canadian company that shares ownership of the pipeline with the Alberta government, had estimated that 10,000 jobs — in addition to the 1,000 already established — would be created in 2021 alone thanks to the construction of the pipeline.
A total of 42,000 jobs were expected to be filled once the pipeline was completed.
“The Biden Administration’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline permit on day one of his presidency is both insulting and disappointing to the thousands of hard-working LIUNA members who will lose good-paying, middle-class family-supporting jobs,”

One day after Biden’s inauguration, 5,000 soldiers were moved to a cold parking garage.
There is one power outlet and one bathroom for 5,000 soldiers.

As I grabbed some coffee before heading to the Capitol Building to watch the 46th President of the United States of America take his title, the lovely lady behind the counter told me she had never seen anything like this in D.C. in her life.
And all I can say as I stand here now in the freezing cold with a handful of others is that I hope America never has to see anything like this again. Nothing is as it seems. It is just horrible, in every sense.
There is no one here. And I am not saying that in the weird competitive way people talk about crowd sizes as a measure of popularity. Remember the endless quarrel over the size of Trump's inauguration crowd versus Obama's?
What I mean is that there is literally no one here. Even pressed up to the gates within sight of the Capitol Building there is barely a handful of Biden supporters -- alongside a small gaggle of media, scratching about, trying to find something to film.
Residents with the means to do so have moved out. Others stay locked in their homes. And visitors heeded the fear-mongering and stayed away. I was called ‘a moron with a death wish’ for traveling here to document this event. And even though it is perfectly safe, no one is here to bear witness to this event.
This should be an historical moment for the country. Instead it feels like an illusion, fabricated for the TV, right down to the made-for-TV flags and columns of light on the mall.
Not only is the city completely abandoned by ordinary Americans, but it feels like a military garrison, courtesy of 25,000 National Guard troops, police, and Secret Service posted at every intersection. Many of them are sleeping at my hotel and I couldn’t wish for better roommates.
But their frustration is obvious. These good men and women have left their homes, families and jobs to be here, but to what end? We can all see there is no threat to be faced. Fake news is relying on repeating their footage of the riot at Capitol Hill to perpetuate the myth that this is a city under siege to domestic terror.
D.C. now feels like one giant stage built entirely for a drama of the Democrats' own creation. I’d argue the troops are being used as bit-part actors, for crowd scenes and effect. If you wanted to create the illusion that the Trump administration turned America into a war zone, what better way than to make D.C. a green zone, build ramparts and blockades, and fill it with troops, trucks, and men with weapons?

Republicans, particularly white Republicans, are now tarnished with the label ‘domestic terrorists’ and are all policed as such. I can feel the eyes of the plainclothes officers on me as I move about in D.C. One photographs my face, then slips away.
And yet on Black Lives Matter Plaza, just a block or two from the White House, BLM protesters seem to enjoy special privileges. The entry point to this place remains relatively open and welcoming, their music system gives the place a party feel, and there are no National Guards visible here.
How did we end up at a place where Republicans and Democrats are policed differently, even inside a militarized zone?
I feel some pity for the media crews wandering around the lonely streets desperate for something to feed back to their bosses' funding of their trip. They know they have to film something, but when there is nothing, what are they supposed to do? Predictably, they resort to yet another closeup of the National Guard. It is soul-destroying stuff.
It feels numb here, like watching surgery on your own hand when you are anesthetized against the pain, but can still see the knife cutting flesh and watch your own blood flow. That’s exactly what it is like in D.C. Without people, there is no emotion. And without emotion, no one can feel anything. And just like surgery, it feels unreal.
It is emotion that makes these events matter. And there is none to be had here. This is a sterilized inauguration in a city sanitized by a garrison of troops. All you can feel is numb.
Biden stepped up to the podium, on an empty stand, addressing a mall void of life and spoke of his hopes for unity:
This is our moment of crises and challenge. And unity is the only path forward… Let’s start afresh. Let's start to listen to one another, see one another, hear one another.
I look around at all the facemasks and muted mouths. And feel my eyes roll in their sockets.
We must reject a culture in which facts are manipulated and manufactured.
I remember those suitcases of ballots being hauled out from under tables in Pennsylvania, and the statistically improbably vote dumps in the swing states, and wonder how this old man is not choking on his words.
America has to be better than this. Just look around. Here we stand in the shadow of the capitol dome. We endured. We prevailed.
I look around just as he asks us to do, and I see how barren it all is. This man is all but alone with his lies. Nothing has prevailed here, not joy, not emotion, and certainly not the will of the American people.
As I walk back to my hotel, feeling about ready to sit with the homeless man and share his cheap whisky, I meet a woman who has traveled from Texas to be here because of her love for Biden -- and because she was here four years ago for the pussy marches in which she had such a fantastic time.
She can't believe she is all alone and that the city is so deserted. Not only that, but she can't get close enough to see or hear anything. So much for Biden’s plea to ‘see each other, listen to each other, hear each other’. This poor woman has not seen another soul.
She tells me she just feels really, really disappointed.
I hug her and tell her I feel it too. Biden (The Post Turtle) asked for unity. Perhaps this is it. His supporters and I (undocumented terrorist, visiting deplorable, etc.) are united in our disappointment.
