A complaint has been filed with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on December 6th, 2021 by a team from the UK on behalf of the people. They are alleging crimes committed by UK government officials and international world leaders of various violations of the Nuremberg Code, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression perpetrated against the peoples of the UK.
The team who are fighting for justice on behalf of us all state that:
“The seriousness and extent of the crimes committed in the United Kingdom, highlighted by the scope of people that these crimes affect, that these crimes continue to be committed, the wide range of perpetrators, the recurring patterns of criminality and the limited prospects for accountability at the national level, all weigh heavily in favour of an investigation”.

The applicants state that they have tried to raise their case through the local English police and the English Court system without success. The team is represented by lawyer, Hannah Rose, with co-applicants including:

The International Criminal Court
The applicant’s state that they have tried to raise their case through the local English police and the English Court system without success
This is exactly why the ICC has been addressed directly as if a state is unwilling or unable to carry out either an investigation or prosecution, the ICC is able to prosecute, not to replace national crime systems, but to complement them.
The team of applicants has provided the ICC with documentation detailing numerous claims which amount to violations of the Nuremberg Code, Crimes against humanity, war crimes, and crimes of aggression in the United Kingdom.
Within the complaint, the team argues that “based on the extensive claims and enclosed documentation, we charge those responsible for numerous violations of the Nuremberg Code, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression in the United Kingdom, but not limited to individuals in these countries”.
The applicants state that “It is our intention to present to you and detail how, in the United Kingdom this year, the Government of the United Kingdom, with its Ministers and senior officials have violated the Nuremberg Code not only in a single aspect but in many aspects”.
Inflated Covid figures
Through providing an over ten-thousand-word document, the team has gathered extensive evidence that are areas of concern have occurred under the guise of measures or interventions for the prevention of a “virus.”
A particularly notable and important area addressed within this documented complaint, is the fact that the number of covid-19 cases has been artificially inflated due to the inaccuracy and unreliability of the PCR testing.
Arguably, without these inflated figures, there would have been no need for the other measures and interventions that are now be classed as crimes against humanity.
The team highlight the fact that a covid death is recorded if an individual died for any reason within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test (that was confirmed with the inaccurate and unreliable PRC tests).
“These deaths are being recorded as Covid-19 regardless of whether Covid-19 was the factual cause of death”
The Rebranding of Flu, Pneumonia, and Respiratory Infections.
Additionally, another way the Covid-19 statistics have been artificially inflated is by the ‘rebranding’ of the common influenza, pneumonia, and other respiratory infections as covid -19. The applicants cited data from the ONS which showed that deaths in 2018 from influenza and pneumonia amounted to 29,516 and in 2019, was 26,398.
However, deaths in 2020 for influenza were recorded at just 394 and pneumonia at 13,619.
The documentation also highlights that a freedom of Information request (FOI) shows us that between March and June 2020 the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in England and Wales with no pre-existing health conditions was 4,476.
This argument was further strengthened by John O’loony, a joint applicant on this request is a funeral director running his own funeral home in Milton Keynes. As a funeral director, Mr. O’loony testified that he saw a massive effort made to deliberately inflate Covid death numbers. Cancer patients and stroke victims and even one guy that was run overall ended up with Covid on their death certificate’.
Requesting a Full Investigation
All areas that were arguably a result of the overinflated cases were included in the document to either add weight to the complaint with factual evidence or occurrences or to request a full investigation into particular areas.
Warranting a full investigation, for example, are the vaccinations that are “an innovative medical treatment” that has only received temporary Authorisation.
The vaccines are still in ongoing Phase 3 trials which are not due to conclude until late 2022/early 2023, therefore, the vaccines are experimental meaning there is limited data for the short term and no long-term safety data available.
Additionally, the use of a new, never been approved for human use, mRNA vaccine technology, which is effectively a pro-drug, means that it is not known how much spike protein any individual will produce. The applicants argue, therefore, that “potential late-onset effects can take months or years to become apparent
The Inclusion of Graphene Hydroxide
Also warranting a full investigation according to the team is the inclusion of graphene hydroxide and the alleged assassination of Dr. Andreas Noack, after his video revealing its presence in the vaccines
Dr Andreas had explained what graphene hydroxide was and how the nanostructures injected into the human body act as ‘razor blades’ inside the veins of ‘vaccine’ recipients and that due to the size of the structures they were unable to show up in autopsies. According to the applicants, “toxicologists can’t imagine that there are structures that can cut up blood vessels causing people to bleed to death on the inside so they would not be looking for them, given their atomic size”.
Other Areas and Parallels to 1930s Germany
The team also includes arguments relating to the Ineffectiveness of masks, saying that even the World Health Organisation (WHO) has admitted that there is no evidence available on the usefulness of masks to protect non-sick individuals. They also highlight the Alternative treatments that have been ignored, the Censorship, and that the UK government and governments around the world are using the ‘pandemic’ to crack down on free expression and access to information and alarming Parallels to 1930’s Germany as told by Holocaust survivors
There are several survivors of the German Holocaust drawing stark parallels between Covid restrictions and the beginning of the Holocaust. These together with other areas included in the complaint which can be found here are according to the applicants provide “a reasonable basis to believe that violations of the Nuremberg Code, genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes have been committed”
The document concludes with a strong request:
“WE WANT TO REPEAT: It is of the utmost urgency that ICC take immediate action, taking all of this into account, to stop the rollout of covid vaccinations, introduction of unlawful vaccination passports and all other types of illegal warfare mentioned herein currently being waged against the people of the United Kingdom by way of an IMMEDIATE court injunction”.

Top Washington Post officials gathered last week and discussed how to respond to a major problem the news outlet is facing: a sharp decline in online readership.
Executive Editor Sally Buzbee said she was struck by a presentation showing that in one stretch of 2019, nearly all of the 50 most popular articles on the Post’s home page were related to politics, whereas in the same period of 2021, just three of the top 10 were related to politics, people familiar with the meeting said.
Ms. Buzbee weighed in with her conclusion: When political news falls out of favor with Post readers, the news organization needs to be in position to excel with other types of stories.
The Post, like most major publications, experienced an audience surge during the Trump years, when readers flocked to stories about the controversial Republican administration. Now, the Post is facing a slump that has triggered some soul-searching at the paper, including over the need to invest more in coverage areas outside of politics, according to people familiar with the news outlet’s operations and internal documents viewed by The Wall Street Journal.
One document provided a stark snapshot: The site had about 66 million monthly unique visitors in October, down 28% from last year. Most major publishers have suffered audience declines from 2020, when national politics and the Covid-19 pandemic lifted readership. Several of the Post’s rivals, including the New York Times, the Journal, Vox Media and CNN, had smaller declines in that time frame, according to the document, which cited data from Comscore. Other politics-focused publications, including the Hill and Politico, had traffic declines greater than the Post’s during that period, according to the document.
The Post’s digital subscriber growth, meanwhile, has begun to stagnate. The outlet had 2.7 million digital subscribers as of October, according to the internal document, down from roughly three million in January. Some of the people familiar with Post’s operations said the publisher is expected to end up roughly flat in digital subscriptions for the year.
The Post has been working for more than two years to evolve its offerings and attract new readers, “knowing that news consumption is cyclical,” a Post spokeswoman said in a statement. "We’ve been deliberate in our strategy work and are seeing the results of our investments across the company, particularly with the growth of the newsroom, the broadening of our coverage and the sophistication of our storytelling tools.”
Other newsrooms have pressed to expand, even before this year. The Journal had about 50 million monthly unique visitors as of October, according to Comscore. Executives at the outlet had discussed a plan last year to double its audience by the end of fiscal 2024, people familiar with the matter say.
A spokesman for Journal parent Dow Jones declined to comment on the company’s plans for audience growth. Dow Jones executives said at a September 2020 investor event that the company planned to double its membership business over the long term.
At the New York Times, a substantial portion of subscription growth is coming from low-cost digital offerings such as games, its cooking product and its product-recommendation site Wirecutter. The Times in November warned that subscription growth could come under pressure in the fourth quarter as promotional pricing is phased out.
The headwinds come during a new era at the Washington Post. In May, the newspaper announced that it selected Ms. Buzbee after a process involving the Post’s publisher, Fred Ryan, and its owner, Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos. Ms. Buzbee, who was top editor of the Associated Press news cooperative, said in a memo to employees in September that the Post will hire dozens of new editors and beef up the newspaper’s capacity to publish breaking news and in-depth journalism.
At the meeting last week, Post editors discussed the idea of devoting more resources to the areas that have been generating interest, such as features and culture, according to the people familiar with the meeting. One slide they reviewed showing top stories from the Post’s home page included a financial investigation dubbed “Pandora Papers,” a story about the fatal shooting on the set of the movie “Rust,” and a feature on singer-songwriter Cat Stevens, who goes by the name Yusuf Islam.
Ms. Buzbee cautioned that politics is cyclical, and that the Post should be prepared for when reader interest in politics jumps once again, the people familiar with the meeting said.
An analysis of the Post’s readership shows that traffic from nonsubscribers had fallen off 35% over two years, according to one of the documents the Journal viewed. Many more nonsubscribers are hitting the “paywall” in 2021, compared with 2019, the document said.
Traffic from subscribers is growing, but not fast enough to make up that difference. From October 2019 to October 2021, digital subscribers increased by 56%, but subscriber page views only increased by 6% during that period, according to the document.
“Active subscribers are coming less often, and when they do come, they consume fewer pageviews,” reads one slide. The Post has launched an effort called “Operation Runway,” which involves boosting readership by directing readers to additional stories through referral links, some of the people familiar with the Post’s operations said.
Aging readers are another area of focus, according to a document from May viewed by the Journal. Titled “Industry Insights: Younger Audiences,” it says that only 14% of Washington Post subscribers are under 55, compared with 61% of the U.S. adult population. The document summarizes five groups of potential subscribers to the Post, including “contented and uninvolved,” “middle grounders,” “practical mavens,” “engaged intellectuals” and “confident strivers,” and estimates their interest in the Post.
“Our paid product is not attractive to younger people,” the document reads. Of those groups, the only one listed with a “high” level of interest in the Post are “confident strivers,” which the document describes as “affluent, urban married men with kids, more multi-ethnic, skew liberal/Democratic.”
“This was a third-party study done to help identify potential motivations to subscribe, and we are not focused on just one of them,” said the Washington Post spokeswoman. “Rather, we are using the data as a whole to think about where we invest and grow in 2022.”
In August, the Washington Post said it had created an initiative dubbed “Next Generation” to attract younger subscribers and assigned several people to that effort.
During the meeting last week, editors compared the newspaper’s readership and story selection with those of a rival, the New York Times. One slide showed that some entertainment stories that are popular with Post readers still don’t generate the same amount of traffic as comparable stories in the Times.
Like the Times, the Washington Post has launched new products in recent years to expand its audience beyond politics junkies. Those efforts include the Lily, focused on women, videogame section Launcher, food hub Voraciously and By the Way, a travel destination.
Some people involved with those brands said that the Post’s leadership, particularly Mr. Ryan, haven’t invested enough resources to make them as successful as rival products like the New York Times’ Cooking product. Several people said that the Post frequently holds meetings dedicated to analyzing competitors but often fails to act on insights from those meetings in a meaningful way.
In recent years, editors at the Washington Post have occasionally considered making high-profile acquisitions to support the newsroom, but some of those discussions didn’t result in deals, some of the people familiar with the Post’s operations said. This year, executives discussed buying theSkimm, a female-skewing media startup known for its breezy newsletters, but no such deal has materialized, according to people familiar with the matter.
Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Post editors discussed buying Decision Desk HQ, an election-analysis website known for calling races alongside the Associated Press, according to people familiar with the matter. Insider earlier reported that the Post discussed buying Decision Desk HQ.
The Post has recently put resources toward marketing its brand to readers, an effort that has generated mixed reactions inside the newspaper. During an employee town hall this fall, Post executives said the newspaper would be airing a brand campaign featuring its “Afghanistan Papers” investigation on the game show “Jeopardy!,” which some felt was out of step with the plan to attract younger readers. Employees at the newspaper have also discussed using a provocative ad featuring the song “For What It’s Worth” by the band Buffalo Springfield, but that spot never aired, one of the people said.

Concord, NH — Joe Biden proclaimed that the Democrats will sweep to victory in 2022. Nancy Pelosi gushed that Joe Biden is the “perfect” man to be President today and that Kamala Harris is inspiring. Wow, what were these two smoking on Tuesday?
Look at the polls, 41% and 28% for Joe and Kamala, and 33% for Nancy. These three should be looking in the mirror rather than looking to 2022. The first year of the Biden Presidency has been a disaster and the American people, including the Democrats, have no confidence in this administration and Congressional leaders. We are not going in the right direction, and there is no indication of a Biden course correction.
On Wednesday, CNN published a list of 11 Democratic candidates for President in 2024. The list is nothing but bizarre and focuses on the weak bench of the Democrat Party. Let that sink in. After less than one year, the media has already dismissed Joe Biden.
Thanks, Joe, but you have served your purpose, and we are done with you. Now, move along and take Kamala with you. If, in 2024, the Democrats need to go to this list to pull a candidate, they are in a severe place and will undoubtedly lose the White House.
We all know how weak and unsuccessful the Biden administration has been in its first year. Their Domestic policies like Border Control, eliminating the Pandemic, the economy/inflation, crime, and the division of our people are all floundering.
When asked during a White House presser to single out Biden’s most successful foreign policy, Jenn Psaki did not have an answer. She will have to circle back on that. Kamala Harris has been worse than anyone predicted and showed why she dropped out of the primaries before the first vote was cast. We all can also see how quickly Joe Biden is failing mentally. It is sad to watch, but he is our President makes it even worse.
The New York Times ran an editorial on Tuesday calling out the failing mental acuity of our President. If Biden is losing the liberal mainstream media, he has no allies remaining. He is alone with Dr. Jill, and it will be a very long three years until he can retire. The failure of Biden to be able to get his Build Back Better Bill over the finish line may signal his Presidency may not make it full term.
So who is on this list? There are some familiar as well as some newer names to mull. Kamala is on the list but probably just out of respect to the sitting VP. She will be nowhere near the 2024 ticket. Some ridiculous names, such as DiBlasio of New York, Murphy of New Jersey, and Whitmer of Michigan, are featured. These three have no support in their party, period.
There are some unknowns that don’t matter at this time, but the two wild cards are Hillary and Stacey Abrahms. Hillary is getting paid to read the acceptance speech that she never got to read in 2016, and Abrahms will have to acknowledge she is not the Governor of Georgia finally. That leaves Mayor Pete. I don’t care who Buttigieg might run against, but it will be fun to watch him lose by the most significant vote spread in history.
To this point, President Biden has been a failure and a disappointment to both sides. In the next 30 days, he may become the quickest lame-duck President in history. That will be bad for Joe but could be devastating for the country. Nothing challenges our safety more than a President just counting the days until he moves home from the White House. I am not sure Joe will be able to count off three years.
Late-night political hack and former comedian Stephen Colbert doesn’t usually warrant any notice, but he stumbled onto an important truth recently. Lamenting the possibility that the Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade, he whined that if only 27 percent of Americans (according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll) support such a move, and the court doesn’t vote the way he and a majority of Americans prefer, “We don’t live in a democracy.”
But we weren’t supposed to live in a democracy. We were supposed to live in a republic.
A story, probably apocryphal, is told that upon exiting the Pennsylvania statehouse at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Ben Franklin was approached by a passerby. “What have you given us,” the woman asked him. “A republic, if you can keep it,” he replied. While the word “republic” to a Democrat is like a cross to a vampire, it is unquestionably the type of government the Founders created in our Constitution. The design of our constitutional republic, for better or worse, was to protect individual liberties and private property by limiting the power of government. That’s why leftists hate it.
The word “democracy” does not even appear in the Constitution, nor does it appear in that document’s philosophical antecedent, the Declaration of Independence, which stated boldly the revolutionary idea that everyone is “endowed” with unalienable rights – to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This assertion upended the idea that individuals were mere “subjects” beholden to their betters, cogs in a machine worthy of consideration only insofar as they served the purposes of the elite. The Framers wanted regular elections, but that was simply a peaceful means to eject recalcitrant politicians acting against the interests of the people.
Anti-democratic mechanisms were consciously built into the Constitution. Inspired by an eighteenth-century French political philosopher named Baron de Montesquieu, a system of checks and balances was established. The executive, legislative, and judicial branches were created, each with the ability to stymie the others. Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, elected directly by the people, could pass legislation, but it could die in the Senate; a bill passed through both chambers faces a potential veto from the president, chosen via an Electoral College, not popular vote, and a super majority is required to override that veto. Finally, despite overwhelming support, courts can strike down any law that violates the Constitution.
Interestingly, in a recent report that could easily have been written by a member of the Democratic Party, the Chinese Foreign Ministry specifically highlighted this as proof of our system’s alleged failure. It read in part, “The U.S. political system has far too many checks and balances, raising the cost of collective action and in some cases making it impossible altogether. . . . There is an entrenched political paralysis in the U.S.” [Emphasis added]
This analysis, meant as a criticism, is actually very revealing. Afterall, when Communists are upset about something, it’s likely good for individual freedom! Leftists get misty-eyed when talking about “democracy,” claiming they simply want to “empower” the “common people,” but the truth is they despise voters and are happy with the electoral process only when things go their way. Witness their reaction to the recent election in Virginia, which leftwing commentators denounced as “racist” – despite the victory of a female black immigrant (!) in her run for lieutenant governor. The long-serving president of the state senate in New Jersey was defeated by a truck driver, in his first bid for public office. The left-wing Atlantic smeared his victory as “populist moonshine.” Arch-“progressive” Hillary Clinton claims – oblivious to the irony – that a Trump victory in the 2024 election will spell “the end of our democracy.”
The Framers wanted it to be difficult to pass laws. They also wanted the sphere in which government acted to be quite small, enumerating the limited powers of Congress in Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution. Further protections are found in the Bill of Rights—the 10 amendments to the Constitution forbidding government from infringing the rights of Americans -– even with majority approval. For example, the First Amendment shields unpopular speech from criminal prosecution – no matter what; the Sixth Amendment guarantees that a criminal defendant will be tried by an impartial jury – not by popular opinion or by vengeful government officials; the Eighth Amendment protects the worst offender against “cruel and unusual punishment,” even if the mob wants his head on a pike.
Democracy or a republic? I say: Let’s restore our founding system — a republic — to our land. That would be something to celebrate.
(LifeSiteNews) – A group that includes former Pfizer vice president Dr. Michael Yeadon filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) on behalf of UK citizens against Boris Johnson and UK officials, Bill and Melinda Gates, chief executives of Big Pharma companies, World Economic Forum executive chairman Klaus Schwab, and others for crimes against humanity.
The UK group, including an astrophysicist and a funeral director, additionally charged Dr. Anthony Fauci; Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO); June Raine, chief executive of Medicines and Healthcare products regulatory agency (MHRA); Dr. Radiv Shah, president of the Rockefeller Foundation; and Dr. Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, as “responsible for numerous violations of the Nuremberg Code … war crimes and crimes of aggression” in the UK and other countries.
After repeated unsuccessful attempts to raise a case with the English Court system, the applicants resorted to calling with “the utmost urgency” for the ICC “to stop the rollout of COVID vaccinations, introduction of unlawful vaccination passports and all other types of illegal warfare … being waged against the people of the UK.”
In the group’s complaint filed December 6, they present evidence that COVID-19 “vaccines” are in fact experimental gene therapies engineered with gain-of-function research from bat coronaviruses, arguing that these “vaccines” have caused massive death and injury and that the UK government has failed to investigate such reported deaths and injuries; that COVID case and death numbers have been artificially inflated; that face masks are harmful due to hypoxia, hypercapnia and other causes; and PCR tests are “completely unreliable” and “contain carcinogenic ethylene oxide.”
They furthermore argued that effective treatments for COVID-19 such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, were suppressed, leading to a greater death toll from COVID-19 than what should have occurred.
They make the case that the lockdowns were enacted under the pretext of artificially inflated infection and death numbers from an engineered virus, as well as the experimental “vaccines” have resulted in:
Massive short-term damage and death, with at least 395,049 reported adverse reactions to COVID “vaccines” in the UK alone; a sharp uptick in ChildLine calls from vulnerable children during lockdowns; “destruction of wealth and businesses” through imposed lockdowns;” “severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law,” including bans on travel and gatherings, and forced quarantine and self-isolation; apartheid due to segregation by vaccine passport possession; and “expected reduction in fertility” after “vaccination,” among other harmful physical and psychological effects.
In addition, the applicants maintain that “the suppression of safe and effective alternative treatments for Covid-19 amounts to murder and warrants a full investigation by the court.” They noted that besides censorship of online information on and promotion of these alternative treatments, “some academic journals are blocking the publication of studies showing the effectiveness of drugs such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.”
The applicants also cited quotes from Holocaust survivors who have drawn “stark parallels between Covid restrictions and the beginning of the Holocaust.” In an open letter, the Holocaust survivors have asked medical regulatory authorities to “stop this ungodly medical experiment on humankind immediately,” which they maintain violates the Nuremberg Code.
They even allege that “another holocaust of greater magnitude is taking place before our eyes.” One survivor, Vera Sharav, noted in an interview cited in the complaint,
“The stark lesson of the Holocaust is that whenever doctors join forces with government and deviate from their personal, professional, clinical commitment to do no harm to the individual, medicine can then be perverted from a healing, humanitarian profession to a murderous apparatus.”
“What sets the Holocaust apart from all other mass genocides is the pivotal role played by the medical establishment, the entire medical establishment. Every step of the murderous process was endorsed by the academic, professional medical establishment. Medical doctors and prestigious medical societies and institutions lent the veneer of legitimacy to infanticide, mass murder of civilians.”
According to the applicants, all of the damaging consequences of the “vaccines,” lockdown and virus meet the criteria for genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes against the people of the UK, because the guilty “members of the UK government and world leaders have both knowledge and intent with respect to these alleged crimes.”
In fact, they argue that the destructive consequences of the “vaccines,” lockdowns and engineered virus are deliberate attempts at depopulation and societal destabilization as part of a globally coordinated plan to consolidate wealth and power in the hands of a few.
They argue that these measures therefore also constitute a “crime of aggression,” that is, the effort “effectively to exercise control over or to direct the political or military action of a State.” In this case, they claim, the goal is to “dismantl[e] all the Democratic Nation States, step by step,” and to “destroy small and medium sized businesses, moving the market shares to the largest corporations,” owned by the ultra-rich, to give this “elite” group greater political and monetary control.
With 14 Senate Republicans joining Democrats to allow Tuesday’s vote to raise the debt ceiling, Congress yet again missed a golden opportunity to stop the fiscal train wreck it’s speeding us toward.
Lawmakers pat themselves on the back for averting a crisis — Treasury Security Janet Yellen warned the nation could hit the fiscal limit Dec. 15 — but this short-term fix ignores America’s unhealthy debt addiction. It’s the kind that overstretches and destroys superpowers.
We borrow like there’s no tomorrow, and President Joe Biden wants to add trillions more to the trillions he’s already unleashed this year, through his Build Back Broke spending plan. On Friday, the Congressional Budget Office released its latest numbers on this big-government bill.
Lindsey Graham, the top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee, asked the CBO to provide a projection excluding the budgetary gimmicks the left uses to hide the true price tag of the bill. CBO’s analysis confirms it would cost $4.9 trillion over 10 years and add $3 trillion in deficit spending.
Build Back Broke would also add $266 billion in interest on that debt. Adding on this interest to topline costs brings the total to an eye-popping $5.1 trillion.
The first recovery step in Alcoholics Anonymous is to admit you’ve got a problem. American Debtoholics: Our country is at a 126 percent debt-to-GDP ratio. That means we have far more debt than the size of our entire annual economic output.
For historical comparison, this is far higher than in 1960 (52 percent), 1980 (35 percent) and 2000 (55 percent). And like a reckless shopaholic locked in toxic credit-card payments, US taxpayers are mired in astronomical interest payments.
This year, Uncle Sam spent $300 billion on interest payments on the national debt. The Committee For A Responsible Federal Budget notes that this is almost 9 percent of all federal revenue and more than $2,400 per household — in one year alone.
The federal government spends more on interest payments than on science, space, technology, transportation and education combined.
The United States has a very highly rated bond profile, so we’re unlikely to default on our bonds. But with more and more debt, our very high rating will erode over time through downgrades, which would spike our borrowing costs right in the thick of heavy inflation. It also makes us look like a weak, fading empire as China’s wealth has now overtaken ours and continues to rise.
We’re not yet anywhere close to junk-bond status, but the Obama administration presided over America’s only AAA downgrade by S&P Global Ratings. Now it seems Biden wants a redux of his Obama days: If he keeps pushing for more debt, we will likely face another downgrade, not only another from S&P but also a first from Fitch and Moody’s Investors Service (my former employer).
Another huge problem with what’s happening in Washington this week is that the debt ceiling’s purpose is to ensure that Treasury doesn’t overstep its lane. Congress created the debt ceiling for a reason — to stop Treasury from going outside its executive-branch limits and borrowing too much money.
Yet prominent Democrats are pushing to eliminate the debt ceiling altogether. Speaker Nancy Pelosi called a House bill that would give the Treasury secretary the authority to raise the debt limit an “excellent idea.” Yellen — no surprise — supports eliminating the limit altogether.
Congress controls the purse strings under the Constitution’s separation of powers. Removing the debt ceiling would give more power to the executive branch — which might be what King Biden wants.
Americans told Harvard University and HarrisX pollsters in May that they believe “massive government spending” is the top driver of inflation. Second was “significant” injections of money by the Federal Reserve, and third, “uncontrollable government deficits.”
Biden’s team is bullheadedly pushing all three ailments on us and our future. The least we can do is call our own members of Congress and tell them to block this wasteful Build Back Broke socialist scheme.
Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema seem to get it. They’re calling for America to stop its long-term debt addiction — instead of just giving another immediate payment to our debt pushers. These senators need all the help they can get.

A California man charged with assaulting police in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and using a metal barricade as a battering ram has fled the United States and is believed to have taken refuge in Belarus, federal prosecutors said on Friday.
Evan Neumann, 49, was indicted on Friday on 14 criminal counts stemming from the deadly Capitol siege, expanding on charges originally contained in a criminal complaint filed against Neumann in March.
Neumann, of Mill Valley, California, near San Francisco, was seen in video footage donning a gas mask while standing near police in front of barricades set up at the base of the West Front of the Capitol Building, prosecutors said in a statement.
According to documents filed in the case, Neumann later removes his gas mask and shouts at the police, "I'm willing to die, are you?" before he physically assaults several officers and rushes into them using a barricade as a battering ram.
Neumann, who has yet to make a court appearance in the case, fled from the United States on Feb. 16 and "is currently believed to be in Belarus," the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia said in a statement.
According to an account published by news outlet the Daily Beast, Neumann was featured last month in a Belarusian state television special titled "Goodbye, America," recounting his journey to the former Soviet republic and its capital, Minsk.
He said on the program that he was seeking political asylum in Belarus because the United States, in his opinion, is no longer a country of law and order, the Daily Beast reported.
Neumann is one of more than 220 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, which disrupted a joint session of Congress meeting to formally certify the November 2020 presidential election victory of Democrat Joe Biden over Donald Trump, the Republican incumbent. Trump and allies have alleged the loss was due to widespread voter fraud.
Neumann is believed to be the only international fugitive charged in connection with the Capitol riot.
The siege followed a rally near the White House earlier that day in which Trump exhorted supporters to march on the Capitol during a speech in which he repeated claims that the election was stolen from him.
