With sight and hearing the two-dimensional uninformed electorate (right, left; liberal, conservative; democrat, republican) can only witness the political spectacle from within their frame of reference. Their involvement is phantasmal. In a literate, visual culture, touch is avoided, while in a tribal, non visual culture, touch is a direct method of receiving the essence of another. The House of Representatives are our tribal representatives.

No one in a tribe [social group, Twitter, etc.] can act, even exist, without affecting everyone else. Everyone affects everyone. So much of the time, tribal man wears a stolid iconic mask of ideology and cliche. He's like a beautiful woman who, to avoid advances, goes through life with downcast eyes.
The government through the IRS reaches out and touches everyone. When an agent of the government enters you into a database you become a "touch point" in the system and have been taken over.
As long as information is classified --- in content, medium, audience -- it's restricted and controlled. Flash, update … within the Internet declassification is the norm until "you" become a "touch point".
