Given the threats imposed upon Israel from Gaza in the south, Hezbollah in Lebanon to the north, Syria and especially Iran + ISIS to the east, this is indeed a welcome system at their disposal, and a necessity for their survival..

Rafael industries of Israel is the developer of “Iron Dome”. Here is a short video describing how the system works. I found it interesting. USA helped fund the development, but Israel did the design and manufacturing of the system. It has been a “game changer” in protecting Israeli citizens from Gaza rockets.
