Video: Cops Fire 65 Shots at Suspected Killer--on San Francisco Street

When a murder suspect fired two shots at police from inside an RV, San Francisco police immediately responded with a barrage of 65 shots delivered over a matter of seconds, body camera video released by police on Tuesday shows.
The dramatic exchange of gunfire took place on a residential street between police and 31 year-old murder suspect Joel Armstrong, The San Francisco Chronicle reports:
“Armstrong had already killed a man and shot another in the Panhandle that evening before stealing an Amazon delivery driver’s Toyota 4Runner to make a getaway and hole up in the RV, according to police.”
In all, Armstrong fired his gun four times that night, according to police reports:
“Though Armstrong reportedly fired his weapon four times — twice at officers, after allegedly fatally shooting Milkon Isleyen and injuring Justin Shivers — he currently faces one charge for murder and eight attempted murder charges. Armstrong smoked drugs with the two men before accusing them of raping his girlfriend and shooting them, police said.”
In addition to one count of murder and eight counts of attempted murder, Armstrong has also been charged with:
- Carjacking,
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon,
- Discharge of a firearm and
- Receiving stolen property.
