Fiery Tesla Crash adds to global warming ...
A Tesla driver was killed early on Saturday morning in Manatee County, Florida, when his car hit a tree along I-75 and burst into flames.
ABC 7 reports that the driver of a Tesla was killed early on Saturday when his car burst into flames following a collision with a tree along the I-75, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Investigators stated that a man was driving a Tesla southbound when he lost control of his car.
The car veered onto the highway shoulder and into a ditch where it hit a tree and caught fire. The driver was unable to exit the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has yet to be identified.

Breitbart News has reported extensively on many Tesla vehicles catching fire after a crash. In September, Breitbart News reported that another Tesla caused major issues after catching fire with firefighters in Stamford, Connecticut, struggling to put out the blaze. Breitbart News previously reported that fire departments have begun recognizing that electric vehicle fires pose a significant danger and need further training to handle them appropriately.

First responders in Oklahoma recently underwent special training to handle electric vehicle (EV) crashes and fires following a growing number of incidents throughout the U.S. One training coordinate explained why special EV training is required, explaining: “They burn significantly hotter so they can throw a 2,000-degree flame out like a torch.”

The Tesla that caught fire in Connecticut took three times the normal effort to extinguish, according to the Stamford Fire Department. The car’s batteries had also fallen out of the vehicle onto the ground giving firefighters better access, yet still required 600 gallons of water a minute to extinguish, totaling more than 25,000 gallons of water to quell the blaze.
NY Gov. Kathy Hochul’s maddening electric vehicle mandate and cookbook
In an all-too-tellingly-empty stunt, Gov. Kathy Hochul last week ordered the state Department of Environmental Conservation to issue regulations banning the sale of gas-powered cars, pickups and SUVs by . . . 2035.
It’s not just that she’ll be long gone by then, or that she was simply marking National Drive Electric Week by pretending to keep up with California’s similarly dubious 2035 only-electric rule.
Nor that, as even The New York Times admits, electric cars are still far too expensive and impractical for all but the rich — with vast technological and industrial progress needed before they make sense even for the middle class.
Not to mention building hundreds of thousands of charging stations (New York now has just over 10,000) to make mass EV use remotely practical.
No: It’s that Hochul’s policies are already making electricity much more expensive, and the pain’s only begun. John Howard, the former head of the Public Service Commission (the main electric regulator) warned this year that the state’s carbon-free-energy law will cost New Yorkers “hundreds of billions” in higher energy bills.
As with the supposed 2035 all-electric-car rule, that insanity won’t fully kick in ’til long after Hochul’s gone.
As long as New York remains a one-party state, the Democrats who run things can keep blaming ConEd and other unlucky messengers for the mounting pain. It’s one more reason to vote out every Dem you can this Election Day.
